The Washington, D.C., office was Kirkland’s second location. Opened almost 90 years ago, the office is close to the White House and includes close to 300 attorneys. Our office houses some of the most talented lawyers in the city, who serve clients in commercial, antitrust, appellate, defamation and white collar litigation; intellectual property; transactional matters including debt finance and investment funds; international trade and national security; labor and employment; and environmental regulatory matters. Many of our attorneys have held senior government positions. Our D.C. lawyers also commit their time and talents to the D.C. community through significant pro bono legal work and support for educational and charitable organizations.
